[01:30 AM Day two]
Collina residence

*EEEEKK!*
“Sean? OMG… You startled me! Did you guys have fun? … It is late.”
‘Hi sweetie… Yes. It was good today. I had the wonderful opportunity to get to know my son-in-law a bit better. I think Sebas is one of the good guys. Not really sure about the parents though.” ‘What have you guys been doing, Fred? I thought you would be in bed by now. How’s Holly? Is she asleep? I sent Sebastian to the guest room. Not that he will stay there, but it was worth a try.”

‘Oh…yes, she went to bed a little while ago… *sigh*… Sean. Cakes, dresses, locations… ohhh… wait. Flowers! Tomorrow it’s flowers. I forgot how it was to be young. It’s nice, but I really have to get used to it. The girls are so excited. I think we need to really keep an eye on Holly. It’s not just the wedding. Being pregnant… oh well, I think she is not sure what needs her attention most. She doesn’t want to let Crystal down in the excitement. But… I see that she is one step ahead, and at the same time one step behind…’

‘Let’s go to bed and worry about that tomorrow… and the days to come shall we?’ [11:00 AM]
Forever Petals Flower Shoppe: Bridgeport

“OMG, what’s this black thing here? Am I supposed to give it something? Coins? … Crystal, hon, could you check the ashtray in the car, that’s where I keep spare change, if I have any.”

“Well I guess not, OK then. I suppose ya'll don’t have any coins... do you? Ohh, we won’t be long anyway. Let’s just go in.”

“But... Barb, you have to feed the meter or the meter maid will come?”

“I do??”

“Of course you do! You might get a ticket!”

“Ahhh, well, we’ll be out in no time, we won’t get a ticket.”
“See Holly and they wonder why we have issues. TSK TSK TSK.” The girls knew the moment they walked in which one they wanted. “Hello, Welcome to Forever Petals. How may I help you?”

“Yes, we are interested in your wedding flowers. Do you also set them up at the wedding?
The ones here on your back wall. They are so beautiful. Do they come in other colors too? Are they silk or fresh cut?”

“The showcase on the back wall are only available in silk and yes we deliver them to the wedding. I am sorry, but pink is the only color the EA distributors would allow us to have. Why don’t we go upstairs and we’ll sort out details.” “Hey guys we’re going upstairs.” “See mom, those are so pretty and pink. Those are they ones I want and that flower thing above it too” “What do you think Holly? About the flowers.”

“If they make you happy cousin, then I’m happy too. Want some hot soy chocolate milk? Do you think we could talk later, maybe when we get home?”

“Of course Holly, everything ok?”

“Yeah, I guess so, it’s about mom and stuff. Here, grab a cup before it gets cold."
"We keep all our layouts in the files over there. You are welcome to pick through them and find what you think works for you. As I said we will do all the flowers for the wedding party. We can even supply the tables and chairs too for a rental fee and there is a fee for setting everything up, oh… and a fee for picking up after. Everything will be taken care of so you don’t have to worry.”

“Excuse me miss, but how much are we talking.”
“Well I need to get your list of everything you would like to have.”
“Just throw a ball park. We will email you the list.”
“Depends on what you choose. Our silk flowers are made from hand spun silk we import the silk from Simindia we have our own silkworm farm there.. it could be in the thousands of simoleons give or take a few.”

*GASP!!!! GASP!!!!*

“Alright girls, I think we have done enough damage to the pocket books today, ready to go?”
“Mom can we have some of those flowers over there?”
“No…I think we will have plenty”
“Uh oh Barb, don’t look now…should I say it, no I shouldn’t say it, but I’m going to say it.
I TOLD YOU SO!”
“Miss, excuse me, is that your Wornado Triage? Are you aware that the meter was not paid?” “Oh Officer, I’m sorry did I forget to feed it… oh, I meant pay it? You see our daughters are getting married and we were here to order the flowers and I was so excited it must have slipped my mind.”

“I see, congratulations. I left the ticket on your windshield miss. Please remember in the future to bring change. Have a nice day”

“Yes sir. Thank you.”
Barb was speechless at the moment and didn’t know what to say all the while wondering why she said Thank you. Holly yelling behind her startled her a bit…

”CRYSTAL! come on TIME TO GO!”

Crystal at the moment seemed to have lost track of time for a brief second. “OMG Fred….can you believe it? He gave me a ticket!”
“Sis I told you so…didn’t I…didn’t I say meter maid…oh wait, meter man would come?”
“Well, that’s about enough for one day. I’ll drop you girls off at your apartment. Crystal how much is it that ticket… and when is it due?”

“Mom it says you need to appear in court within 30 days from today’s date. The amount is not on here but could be up to $500.00 simoleons.”

“Crap!!…ya’ll hush…I hear ya’ll snickering. This isn't funny.”
[11:30 AM same day on the other side of the world]
Champs Les Sims. Maison Marceau

‘Didier ???... Sebastian ? Mais, vraiment!’
Genevieve Marceau sighed with disbelieve. Her baby boys just sent her an email, saying they were getting married… to the American girls. Oh yes, she knew about them. Last year the boy’s phone bill had been over the top really. They paid, as they paid everything the boys needed or asked for. She never made it over to the boys in Champs les Sims on the other end of the country. Neither did they visit her. Somehow their move to Bridgeport in the Sims States she hadn’t seen coming.

Where was a husband when you needed to whine and nag? Jean-Luc had left the house over six years ago.
She made the call nevertheless… They needed to talk. Genevieve Marceau made her way downstairs. She stayed in their home after Jean-Luc had enough, and left her there… all by herself. Oh… she had her friends. The women from the Simrotary Society… But lately she found herself looking at the photo albums made in happier times more often. Yes, you could say she missed her boys.

Jean-Luc was coming over. They really needed to talk.
‘Ah, if it isn’t the ghost of Christmases’ past…’ Genevieve put on her sarcastic face. ‘Viv, I do not think this is the time to be making smart remarks. You know I love our sons just as much as you pretend you do.’

Genevieve, or Viv… as her ex-husband always called her… was chewing on a cheeky remark, but was able to swallow it… Yes, this was about their boys.
‘Jean-Luc… let’s not get into a fight. We need to talk about this. Seriously.’
‘I can go by my self. I will be fine… No need to worry’ ‘You WHAT!?... Viv! Don’t be ridiculous! If the boys are getting married, I am going to be there! You can be wall décor for all I care. You are not the only one going there!’

‘Jean-Luc… OK… let’s not argue. This is not about us… it is about our sons. What if I just had someone check out those families they are marrying into? We know nothing of them.’
‘Anyway… I do not know if you want to stay for coffee. You know where the machine is. I did not change anything here, since you left. Be civil Jean-Luc. Don’t make me your enemy. It won’t be pretty.’
‘Collina… and some strange native name… Ohina, or Ohunu… I really think we need to have them checked out.’
Jean-Luc took a deep breath. It would definitely take more than a short thirty minute visit with Viv to be on speaking terms with her and face the world together as a couple, divorced or not.
No, thirty days maybe…*sigh* or thirty years? IF Viv was able to defrost on time, they could even be able to enjoy their sons’ wedding.
Viv too, was aware of this. Jean-Luc didn’t drive the 300 miles to the house for just a quick cup of coffee. She should maybe prepare the guestroom, if they were to make travel arrangements and talk about their role as parents of the grooms. ‘I will prepare one of the boy’s bedrooms for you. I don’t think you will be driving back tonight, right?’

‘If it is not too much trouble… and I could eat something too. I am starving.’
[8:30 PM]
The girls apartment, Bridgeport

“Crystal, I’m hungry for some mac & cheese…do we have any pickles?”
“Hey Holly, is this fruit mix still good? I think I’ll make some fruit cocktails, want one? ...Uh pickles? Did you find any? I don’t think we have any of those. Call Sebas, he’ll pick up some on his way home.” *crash…shatter…splat*

“Crystal???? I hope that wasn’t the sound of our good crystal hitting the floor.”
“Come on grab a bowl let’s go play some monopoly in the living room maybe we can talk.”

“Sure Holly, sounds like fun, I call dibs on the car.”
”Crystal, you know I won’t be able to wear mom’s dress, right? You know that right? Mom thinks it won’t fit me when the time comes and she won’t even consider having it altered to fit. I know she’s right but I wanted us to be the same. I hope you will be ok with it.” “Holly? Is that what’s been eatin’ at you lately. Of course it’s alright that only means our moms will have to spend more money *giggling child like* …No, that does not hurt my feelings at all. Dress shopping.. now that is going to be fun. Come sit over here.” “Holly all that matters is that we will be together on the same day. That’s all I care about, but I can tell there’s something else on your mind too. What is it?”
“Crystal, I’ve known you like forever you might as well be my sister instead of my cousin, my best friend, we can tell each other things right? I can ask you anything right?

“Holly? What’s this about? Yes.. you can ask me anything.”

“Um... who was that guy at the shop today? It seemed like you knew him. I don’t know him, I’ve never seen him before. You might think this rude of me but how is it that you know someone I know nothing about. Crystal... what is it that you are not telling me?”

“Holly, uhh, it’s …it’s nobody… nope just a regular guy, someone I ran into…that’s all.”
…A small amount of tension filled the room. Holly knew Crystal was hiding something.” “You can tell me anything Crystal, it’s always safe with me. You’re not getting cold feet
are you?”
“I am....cold feet? No... not even.. I love Didier with everything I am *he had me at hello*”

“HaHaHa… stop it *grins big* that came from a movie you can’t use that line.”

“I love you Holly and please.. no need to worry about me. I am fine and I am not hiding anything. We need to worry about you not fitting into a dress later…”

“That’s not funny *laughing all the while* Come on lets clean up. The boys should be home soon.”
“Crystal…. what???? what is it???” We’re home, you’ll never guess who showed up at one of our gigs! And I have pickles too."

Stay tuned as the Wedding Bliss continues. :)

I'm still laughting at "florist fees"... When it comes to weddings there is nothing that can't be done. For an unreasonable amount of money!!! \;\) It seems that we will soon know who the not so regular guy is, since he is now in their livingroom. Both shots and dialogs are perfect, as usual. Congrats on the feauture!!!

Loving this story! No one give Barb a hard time about the meter, she's not the first to say "I'll only be a minute. . ." but whoa, up to 500? Glad I don't live in Bridgeport. Paper flowers made at home are very inexpensive, and a nice way to pass an evening together. (Okay girls, it's just a suggestion, trying to help your moms out here. . .thousands on flowers for just  a day? Give the ladies a break!)  "Viv" is a charmer, n'est pas? \:P Lordy, what's her PROBLEM? (She is a fabulous creation! So very 'Top Drawer", looks like one of those women who starve themselves into a size 0) and I am going to give Crystal the benefit of the doubt here and say that nothing is going on with mystery man, even though she was shocked to see him standing in her apartment. . . .Wonderful, wonderful story! Your sets and screens are exceptional, sending me into waves of envy for all the incredible detail you have put into them (wine glass in hand in screen two is so REAL a gesture!) Thank you for all the hard work! Thanks for sharing it!!!! YAY for you two!
