I would just like to say that this story was inspired by The Fray.
Mostly by the song called "Trust Me" but it is an actual story.
It is a bit different in a way than most I have written. But still
the same in a way. I haven't been writing but suddenly felt the
need to. Anyways read on and well I hope you enjoy it. ^_^

need to. Anyways read on and well I hope you enjoy it. ^_^ It started just like every morning, just another ordinary day.
I walked into work and sat at my desk, stretched and bid a good morning to Liz.
"Well hello early riser, how are we today?" She looked around her screen and smiled.
"Hi Julia. I had to get in to finish what I had started last night, you know how I am."
I laughed, it was true, Liz was never good at finishing things soon, she procrastinated
quite a bit. But here it really didn't matter, as long as it was turned in on time. As she typed, she talked... she was quite good at that even if she had a deadline.
"So... Did you happen to see Nathan this morning? Looking pretty sharp if I may say so myself."
I blushed. I had seen him this morning and he looked fairly better with each look I took.
"hmm... from looking at your face, I imagine you did. Oh Julia, one of these days..."
But she quickly stopped, she heard footsteps coming towards the door. And of course, it was the one person I wanted to see.
"Morning Miss Day, Miss Hollands I expect alls well with the both of you."
"Of course Mr. Chase, you know what good workers we are." Liz said sarcastically.
He laughed and I smiled. "You can certainly trust us." I added.
"Well I just wanted to bid you two a good morning, its going to be a busy day."
And with that he left and walked back to his office. I quickly looked down, acting like I was working, I knew exactly what was coming next.
"Oh girl... you really have it bad for him don't you? mm-um-mm."
"I don't know what you're talking about. I was just being polite."
"Uh-huh. Nice excuse, trust me girl, I can tell and have always been able to tell."
"Oh! Is it that obvious? And if it is don't you think he'd have said something?"
My head started to panic... if it really was obvious and he could tell, would he
acknowledge it? Or just blow it off as a silly crush. Oh man oh man.
"No, not obvious enough for a guy to notice but enough for me to." She added quickly. The morning went by slowly, but I was able to avoid any thoughts of my boss.
That is until he came up next to me as I was putting some files away.
"Hi Miss Holland." I jumped, first with fright then with realization of who it was.
"Oh I'm sorry! I didn't mean to startle you." I couldn't reply, I wasn't very good
at being this close to him, it always made me dumbfounded.
"Are you okay? Miss Holland?" I smiled. "Julia, please call me Julia." I found my voice
"I'm alright Mr. Chase, you caught me off guard is all. Can I help you with anything?" "Well... Julia. You can call me Nathan, I prefer that anyways."
"Oh okay. Well... Nathan, can I help you with anything?"
"Yes, I have a client coming in and she's, well she's a special one."
My stomach tightened when he emphazised the word 'special'.
"And well when she gets here, please send her in immediately."
"What if your with another client? Should I still send her in?"
"Good question... well just call me when she gets here, her name is Mia."
I forced a smile, the best I could, "Of course Mr. Chase." He stood there for a moment as I went back to work.
I wasn't sure what to do, so I just ignored him best I could.
Until finally he spoke again, "Julia?..." Man, I wish he'd left.
"Yes Mr. Chase?" He frowned. "I thought I told you to call me Nathan."
"Oh right! Sorry Mr. Cha- er I mean Nathan. Sorry again." I blushed.
He laughed and then he looked as though he was about to tell me
something, until he was suddenly aware of Liz in the room. "Carry on ladies."
And he walked out. My heart dropped, of course... nothin out of the ordinary. And just as soon as Nathan left, Liz was right behind me.
"Oh my girl! Okay okay... I defiantly think he likes you!"
My heart quickened at the words but my head resisted all thoughts.
"Oh Liz, he did nothing of the such, just being friendly is all."
She snorted, "Oh so him standing there for awhile was nothing then?"
She had a point... that was a little out of character for him but still...
"Well, I don't know. I can't imagine what that was about."
"I thought he was going to ask you out for lunch! Wouldn't that be nice?" she winked.
I rolled my eyes, "Yea like that would ever happen. Lets just get back to work."
"Whatever you say, but my bet is that he's going to ask you out to lunch." The day went on and I waited for lunch time to come and save me.
But I couldn't shake off the thought of maybe having Nathan asking
me out to lunch, oh that would be so nice. Maybe I'd actually get to
know him... "Excuse me." I was quickly annoyed by the woman who
had interuppted my thoughts, that was until I looked up to face her. I was about to reply but my jaw only dropped.
I could only stare at the girl.. maybe woman in
front of me. She was easily the prettiest person
I had ever seen. And then the tightening of my
stomach came back but with a huge surge of
jealously, this was obviously Mia, the special client.
And as if she had been reading my thoughts, "Hi my name is Mia."
I heard Liz gasp in the background, she thought the same thing too.
