How are you? Hope you’re as great as ever!
Finally! Part 15! Sorry if it took me long to finish this. I had to concentrate on creating a good dialogue (and it took me a while to find tears c.c.). I had a lot of type-delete moments here. I badly wanted to create good dialogues so that you’ll enjoy this installment. There are a lot of talking dramas here so I must do well with the dialogues. Also, I had to do some stuffs which concerns school. Another time stealer. Anyway, I won’t blabber more excuses. Argument invalid! (>3<) I apologize folks.
So here’s part 15 of “He’s my Master, She’s my Maid.” (Approximately 3 more before the finale… but I’m still not sure. May be more than 3 or less. The future is uncertain.)
Last chapter, Aerith/Annie’s cover was already blown. Plus, Daniel revealed that he’s really Devon Coleman, Aerith’s fiancé. What will happen next? Let’s see.

“Aerith…Johnson…” “Welcome home, Master!” Lora greeted Alexander who just arrived. He immediately went upstairs. He did not even look at Lora. His steps seemed heavy, like he’s stomping.
“Is something…wrong?” Lora thought.
“Mr. Adams!” Lora called Mr. Adams who happened to pass by. “It seems like the master is not on the mood today.”
“what do you mean?” Mr. Adams asked Lora who looked intensely worried.
“He arrived without talking. He didn’t even dare look at me. He was stomping. Is he mad or something?”
“It’s been a while since he became ill-tempered, don’t you think? I’ll go check.”
“Young master?” Mr. Adams knocked softly. There was no answer. He opened the door and found no Alexander in the room. “He must be in his office then.” Mr. Adams then proceeded to the master’s office.
“Master?” he knocked.
“Come in Mr. Adams.”
“Are you feeling unwell sir? You look stressed.”
“Tell me, Mr. Adams, what else do you know about Annie?”
“What do you mean, sir?”
“When she came here, did she bring any resume or any similar documents that might show her identity as Annie Laurie?”
“I’m not sure if Lora has her resume or any identification documents. She was the one who took her in after all. I’ll go ask…”
“There’s no need for that.”
“Sir?”
“I already know. She’s not Annie Laurie.”
“What do you mean by that sir?”
Alexander sighed heavily, “Her real name is Aerith Johnson.”
“Johnson?” Mr. Adams was extremely surprised, “Wait… is she from…”
“Hidden Springs.” Alexander didn’t wait for Mr. Adams to finish. Mr. Adams cannot believe what he heard.
“The Johnsons only has one successor… is she by any chance…”
“Aerith Johnson, the daughter of Harold and Rita Johnson. She is the heiress of the Johnson family.”
“If she’s an heiress, what is she doing here as a maid?”
“Mr. Adams, even I am confused.” Alexander rested his elbow on his table and placed his hand on his head. He sighed heavily. “What’s with all these lies she’s been living with us?”
“Only she can answer all our questions, sir.”
“Hey, Annie!” Lora called.
“Lora! I’ll be cooking now. What do you think will be good for tonight’s dinner?”
“Anything you cook is delicious, Annie!” Lora said, “Putting that aside, I think the master is in a bad mood today.”
“What did he catch this time?” Aerith said, “The grumpiness disease?”
“Annie!” Lora scolded, “this is no time for jokes!”
“Sorry. But it’s been a while since he’s like this.”
“Annie.” Mr. Adams suddenly arrived.
“Mr. Adams! I’m glad you’re here. I’m having a hard time deciding what’s…”
“The master is waiting for you upstairs. He has something to ask you.”
“to ask me?”
“Mr. Adams, why is Annie being called?” Lora asked.
“Because she has to answer: why?” Mr. Adams said. He looked very worried. Lora also is very worried.
“Master?” she knocked on the door.
“Come in.”
He was there, seated in his chair. Looking very stern but Aerith wasn’t scared.
“Mr. Adams told me that you have…”
“Tell me, who really are you?” Alexander cut her off before she can finish talking.
“What are you talking about?” she suddenly felt nervous.
“You are Aerith Johnson, am I right?”
Her eyes widened. She felt weak, very weak. Her knees were shaking and so were her lips.
“ANSWER ME!” he shouted, he was very mad.
“I am Aerith Johnson.” She gulped.
His fists were clenched. He banged it on the table. Aerith felt like crying. This time, her fear overpowered her.
“Why are you here? Why are you here living all of your lies?” he asked. His eyes were piercing her soul.
With all her courage, she spoke, “I want a life. I am here to live. And I am not living in lies.”
“You are not living in lies?” he stood up, “that moment you said you’re Annie Laurie, you already began living in lies.”
Her tears finally fell, “Is that it? With that, am I already living in lies? You are wrong. I may give you the wrong name but I presented my true self.”
“You fooled us.” He was overpowered by anger.
“Fooled you? Listen to me, I never did! Annie or Aerith this is the real me.”
“Do you expect me to believe you?” He said, “We trusted you. I trusted you. What did you do? Why did you have to be here? Why did you have to be here if you’re making us only as a mere excuse for you to have a life that you want? Why are you so selfish?”
She was speechless. Her tears were overflowing.
“Go back to your real life. Your fantasy life is over. Your life of lies is over.” He faced the window.
Aerith was shaking, “I’m sorry if I hurt you. I was fearful, I was selfish. I’m sorry. But on only this, please believe me, the person you met, Annie or Aerith or whatever name that is, that was me and that will be me. That is my identity… and it is not measured by name.”
She walked out of the room, but before she could pass through the door, she spoke “Forgive me but I won’t go back to that life I had. I want to continue living this life I have now. This life I started here.”
“But I won’t let you continue here, not here…”
She felt her heart was crushed. With a shaky voice, she said, “As you wish…” She closed the door. She understood; he is driving her away, she has to go.
His tears slowly fell. With all his frustrations and might, he punched the wall. He sat down the floor, “DAMN!”
She found herself back on that bench where she sat when she first arrived in Bridgeport.
“Seems like it’s back to step one again.” Her tears fell, “But this time, it’s excessively painful to start all over again.”
She felt a hand rest on her shoulder.
“Annie…” Daniel’s eyes were full of concern. She stood up, embraced him and broke down.
“Would you like to rest in my place? It’s almost getting dark,” his voice was still filled with concern for Aerith.
“That’s so nice of you Daniel but I prefer to be alone…”
“Here? It’s cold. You might catch a cold.”
“I’m okay… please leave me alone for a while, if it’s okay, Daniel?”
Daniel sighed, “You know my place. It’s near from here. You’re always welcome.”
She stayed there, all night. Her tears never stopped falling.
“What hurts more than him pushing me away like this… is the fact… is the fact that… I’m in love with him.” She thought. She felt like her heart was being crushed. What she wanted was just to melt in the darkness. It was extremely painful.
“You only need to say those painful words and I already want to give up… I hate you Alexander. I hate you for making me this weak.”
“Master… please eat your dinner.”
“I don’t have an appetite, Mr. Adams.” He was just there, standing by the window, looking outside.
“As you wish…” Mr. Adams went out.
Hearing such words, the last words Annie uttered, pinched Alexander’s heart. “Why Annie? Why?”
Another day came. Aerith was sleep deprived. Her eyes felt like falling. Her body felt like collapsing. Moving an inch is difficult. She’s hungry as well but she had no appetite.
She tried standing up, but she fell down. Her eyes slowly closed. “No…”
She fainted. Alexander woke up. He felt pain in his eyes. He placed his hand on his pillow. He found traces of his tears. He stared at the clock. It was 8 in the morning. At such time, he’ll be hearing a knock from his door coming from Annie telling him “Breakfast is served, master! Wake up! The sun is rising!” Her voice echoed in his head. His tears fell again. “Where am i?” she woke up. She was still lying.
“You’re in my place… Rest Annie. You’re extremely exhausted.” Daniel, who was sitting beside the bed, said.
She closed her eyes, her tears rolled down her cheeks. Her sobbing can be heard. Seeing her in such condition stabbed Daniel’s heart.
“Sir, lunch is served. I won’t accept a no for this. You skipped last night’s dinner and today’s breakfast.” Mr. Adams said.
“Put it down…” Alexander told him
“Do you want to talk?” Mr. Adams asked him.
Alexander looked at Mr. Adams, “I don’t know what to do now. I got too attached to her.”
“You love her.”
“I do.” Alexander shifted his look at the window, “but she lied.”
“I don’t think she lied, sir.” Mr. Adams said, “She has always been honest. I can feel it. I bet you also felt and feel it. Yes, she faked her name and also hid her being heiress but I don’t think that’s important. Annie or Aerith or whatever name you call her, that’s our maid. That’s the innocent, sweet, thoughtful girl who lived with us and shared smiles and memories with us. She’s that girl who stole your heart. She’s the girl you love.”
“But Mr. Adams…”
“Use your heart and not your mind, Master Alexander. Search your feelings.”
“I guess I’m going back to my hometown.” Aerith said.
“Going back?” Daniel asked.
“I don’t want to go back there but I guess it’s hopeless to live here anymore. I can’t go to another town. I don’t think my budget can cover the new life I’ll be taking in another town.” She tried to smile, “But even if I go back to my hometown, I won’t go back to my old life. I’ll face all my issues there and I’ll live my own life, independently, without controls. Is that a good idea, Daniel?”
Daniel was speechless.
“It’s selfish right? But I just want to be happy, Daniel. I want to be happy.” Her tears fell again. Daniel embraced her, “Stop crying Annie… I don’t want to see you this desolated.”
“I just want to be happy.” She sobbed.
“I guess this is goodbye…” she told Daniel.
“Don’t you want to stay with me, Annie?”
“I’m sorry but at this point in time, all I want is to be alone.” She said. She embraced him, “Nevertheless, a never ending thanks from me to you.” She smiled, “Bye! Until we meet again.” She then walked away.
He looked at her slowly vanish from his sight, “Annie… I’m sorry…”
“Mr. Adams, prepare my car.” Alexander said.
“Where are you heading to, sir?” Mr. Adams asked.
“I’m going to find her. I can’t live without her anymore. I’m going crazy without her, Mr. Adams.”
Mr. Adams nodded, “If that’s the case, be off… and bring her home.”
Alexander immediately set off.
Mr. Adams went inside. “Lora?” he called, “Where is that young lady?”
She slowly walked towards the shore. She took off her shoes and stepped in the cool water. She looked up, and closed her eyes. Her tears fell, “Goodbye Bridgeport… Goodbye, Daniel. Goodbye, Mr. Adams. Goodbye, Lora. Goodbye… goodbye…” she sobbed, “Goodbye, Alexander.”
She stepped out of the water, “Even though we ended quite painful, your memories are worth keeping.”
She looked back and to her surprise… “Annie…” he spoke.
She remained speechless, she stared at him. Her tears fell even more. He ran towards her and embraced her.
“This time… I’m not letting go.” He whispered.
“Let’s go home…” he said.
She pushed him away, “No!” She dried her tears, “I’m not going back with you.”
He, being stubborn, hugged her again. But she pushed him once more, “What’s wrong with you? You don’t want me anymore, right? You even drove me away and said painful words to me. Stop this nonsense, Alexander!”
“Then don’t remind me!” he shouted, he was suppressing his tears, “Don’t remind me that I love you.” His tears finally fell.
Her eyes widened in surprise.
“What?” she said in disbelief.
“I love you. I love you. I love you.”
Her tears started falling again, “Stop fooling me… stop kidding around. You’re not helping… you’re… you’re…”
He went nearer. He held her and fixed his eyes to hers, “I love you.” He pulled her closer towards him and…
She finally broke down. Her tears won’t stop falling. She leaned her head on his shoulder and he held her head.
“crabsticks…” she was still sobbing and her voice was very shaky, “Why did I fall in love with you?”
He was surprised to hear that.
“You… what?” he asked.
“What?”
“What did you say?”
“What did I say?” she dried her tears.
“Say that again…” he said.
“that.”
Alexander rolled his eyes, “You said you love me.”
“I did?” Aerith asked.
He lightly punched his head. She giggled and so did he.
“Fine…” she sighed, “I love you.”
“With my name on it.” He ordered with a smile.
“I love you, Alexander Martins.” She said as she looked at him in the eyes.
He smiled, “good.” His heart wanted to hop out. He was very happy to hear such words from Aerith. He released her and with all his might, he shouted, “YEAH! SHE LOVES ME!”
“Shut up!” she chuckled, “My! This is crazy…”
Not far away from them, another person is shedding her tears.
“No… you betrayed me… why?”
