Hello it's been a pretty busy and sad time for me these past few months but I am back with part 12. I realised part 11 had somehow been submitted despite not being finished so I went back and edited that part so you may need to re-read part 11 so it makes more sense.
"Hello?" she answered as she heard his familiar voice.
"I'm coming over," was the reply, "We need to talk." Before Ava could come up with a good excuse Gabriel had already hung up on her. He meant business and this scared Ava. She didn't know why but she felt negative towards Gabriel and she couldn't face the idea of being alone with him. As far as she was concerned, Gabriel was the enemy and Ricky was her hero. Gabriel arrived a few moments later and spent what felt like an eternity looking Ava up and down. She looked different and she was different. It didn't take an expert to see Ava was no longer human or herself. She was a totally new person not only on the outside but also inside too. Ava nervously took a drink from her glass and avoided all temptation to lean forward and tasty this tempting specimen. Gabriel smelt wonderful and her vampiric senses were flowing wildly.
"Ava are you ok?" came his first words. He bit his lip nervously and moved towards her, "What has he done to you?" "I'm fine!" Ava replied defensively, "I have never felt better and been happier."
Gabriel frowned and moved closer, "That's a lie, I can feel your pain here Ava. I know you're scared and confused by what he's done to you and I know you don't love him really." "How dare you," Ava replied, "You have no idea how I feel!"
Gabriel moved even closer, "I do, Ava, I know how you feel. I feel it too." Ava felt her body tingle as he moved closer, she hadn't felt this feeling in months and suddenly everything rushed back to her. Everything she had been made to forget. That night in his bed and her love for him. How she was leaving Ricky to be his.
Gabriel realised Ava was off guard now. He took this as his moment to touch her cheek softly.
"Remember this?" he asked her softly. Ava shivered with pleasure at his touch and he whispered, "Come back to me Ava." Ava glanced at Gabriel and replied gently,
"I think I am lost forever." Gabriel smiled and pulled her into his arms,
"You're not lost, you've just took the wrong path, and that's not your fault Ava. I'm going to bring you back because I love you, ok?"
"Come back to me, Ava, please, I can't lose you," Gabriel pleaded now and Ava felt a tear run down her face. She loved this man but something stopped her from being with him. Then his lips were on hers and she saw their memories flash in her mind. She tried hard to fight her vampire urges but it was proving difficult. Gabriel could sense her struggle and kept his lips firmly on hers,
"Don't give up Ava," he pleaded inbetween their kisses. "NO!" Ava suddenly bellowed as she pushed him away with her vampire strength, "You must leave, now! Before I hurt you!"
"I won't give up on you," Gabriel assured her, "But I will leave now, for you." With that he left Ava. He made a quick call and arranged to meet his fellow Angel, Sophie at the beach. "Explain," Sophie said out of breath, she had rushed from her residence to meet a frantic Gabriel.
Gabriel explained everything and about Ava not being a vampire.
"I fear she may be out of my reach. I've lost her," Gabriel cried as tears fell down his face. "No!" Sophie assured him, "Your job on this earth is to protect her and now is the time. She needs you now and you WILL save her. Just keep strong and keep the faith. Good will always beat evil Gabriel and Ricky is evil." "You were chosen because you're the best, you were born to save her. He trusted you with this mission and you will not fail. I believe in you," Sophie said passionately. Gabriel leaned forward and hugged his long time friend.
"You need to get to her, find her weakness to bring her back to you," Sophie whispered.
Gabriel looked at her and nodded, "Thank you Sophie, I know what to do now." Gabriel headed home and paced his flat nervously. He processed his plan over and over. He couldn't sleep despite being up early for work and found himself constantly thinking of Ava.
He knew what he needed to do but wasn't sure of how to do it. He was Ava's guardian, he was chosen to help her and to perhaps save her. She was his second chance at being a better person. He had to save her even if it cost him his own life. Eventually he fell asleep and slept for a few hours before work. He woke with a start and was ready to go to work. It would take his mind off things. After work he headed to the Rake residence.
"Romeo, we need to talk, it's about Ava..."
