My name is Fawn Paxton. I live in the small town of Twinbrook. My life was never normal, and after what happened yesterday night i don't ever think it will. But that's okay, normal's too boring for me anyway.
"Oh, what am i going to do with you?" She sighed, helping me to bed. She took a look around the room. "Where is Penelope gnome? That limited edition one?" I followed her gaze to a shelf on my wall. I sighed and shrugged.
"Who knows. Gnomes are always all over the place." She smacked her lips.
"Even i know what it means when Penelope is missing." She grumbled. When Penelope is missing, something big is going to happen on that day. Good, or Bad."Well i'll be working a bit late tonight. I won't be home when you wake up, most likely." I nodded and closed my eyes. She sighed and closed the door. right when i woke up, a huge bang made me fall right back into bed It must have been a car crash right outside! I ran outside, my phone ready to call 911. But what was actually there scared the mess out of me!
Thick, thick, fog covered half my front lawn. And in that fog stood a figure. I couldn't make it out, it was too dark, and i was too frozen to go turn the porch light on. It was a girl standing there. She was facing the house, looking very unsteady. The more she wobbled the more the fog cleared. Maybe she flew out of her car on impact? I examined her more. She had on some old fashioned yellow dress and her hair was strange. But the strangest thing was her eyes! They were like something out of a-"STUPID FAIRYTALE CAB SERVICES!" She shouted at the sky. She started looking around frantically, until she spotted me.
She suddenly calmed 50 levels down and threw me a graceful smile. I jumped at how sudden it was. She rushed over to me. She shot out her hand. "Eliza Inks!" I glanced at her hand, to frozen to do anything. She slowly recoiled her hand. "Tell me strange one, where are we? What time period is this? 1920? hm?" I blinked.
"Uh, it's Twinbrook. 2012. 34 Gihnsle way?" I said hesitantly. She gasp and anger flooded her face again.
"I'll curse that cab driver! He's such a gnome!" She growled.
"What?" She sighed and rolled her eyes.
"Human? Of course you wouldn't understand." She mumbled.
Human? "Um, mam i think you hit your head." She hitched up her dress and began to walk toward my house. I stepped in front of her.
"Is there a problem?" Well i couldn't just leave her crazy like this on the street. she needed some kind of help. But before i was going to offer she fell right to the ground.
"Oh dear." I groaned.
After dragging her in the house, up the stairs, and into the guest bedroom, i decided too just try and look for Penelope. I knew i was going to be in a load of trouble for letting an insane person sleep in the house, let alone in the bed. I didn't want too add on too that by not having Penelope found.
It was pretty dark. I decided to look around in the backyard. I looked in the garden, the grill, the swing set, all over. Mom would be home any minute. "Where are yo-" Just as i was about to yell to the sky i landed on my face. I got up and looked to see what i tripped over. It was a thick pile of dirt. I would have ignored it, but Penelope's hair ribbon sat right on top. I suddenly heard the sound of a car coming. I began digging like a mad woman! She was deep in, but i got her. "What's the matter with you!?" I shouted. I groaned and put the ribbon back in her hair. "What am i going to do with you?" I sighed. I noticed her hand pointing behind me, where i dug her out. I turned around to find a tombstone in there. I didn't even notice! "Cool." I mumbled.
I began to rub some dirt off of it, just to give the largest, most shocking, gasp of my life... "ELIZA INKS 1532-1651????!!!!"
