Inhaling deeply, the young adult plasters on a smile that hides any emotion in her eyes. Her mantra slowly becomes 'I can do this.'
She then walks into the quiet grocery store, grabbing a basket and going to the fruit section. A civilian catches sight of her then whispers begin to start like a wild fire catching particles of oxygen.
"Did you hear about-"
"Supposedly one of the sisters-" "They're back! The Heart sisters!" Some hiss while others exclaims. But as usual, there is more booing than wooing.
Walking out the is Skylark Heart. Her driver quickly took away the grocery bags, walking away, and saying over his shoulder she had 20 minutes to herself.
She nods slightly as she turns on her heel, humming a sad tune and walking down a familiar alley.
Tapping her foot in a erratic beat, the redhead glares at the only person on the sidewalk.
Tap, tap, tap.
"OH COME ON! IT DOESN'T TAKE THAT LONG TO WALK WHERE I AM!!" The redhead yells, steam coming out of her ears.
"Oh I'm doing rather fine, Izzy. Thank you for asking. So how are you?" Annabel asks, mono-tone.
Being the eldest of the three Heart sisters meant building a high tolerance towards the tantrums of the young sisters.
It also meant that she learned to tease them for her own entertainment
Isabella rolls her eyes at her nickname. "Let's just get this over with. The less time we spend here, the better." Isabella points out.
Annabel slightly shakes her head as Isabella turns her attention to the entrance of the restaurant.
"Why did you pick this place to meet?" Isabella mumbles, spotting every single memory that was stored in this location. "I thought it would be-".
"Don't give me your therapeutic advice. I don't care about it." Isabella snaps, storming into the restaurant.
"This is what I meant about those 8 years apart, Mom." Annabel says, gazing at the clear blue sky.
"You asked us to come together for seven days, but I doubt seven days are going to fix everything along with what you left us with." Annabel states, looking down at her feet. The wind blows through her hair, ruffling it as Annabel hears soft laughter. She snaps her head towards the direction of the voice, searching, but not finding anything. "Yeah, go ahead and laugh Mother." Annabel grumbles, enter the restaurant.
Sighing at the sight of Isabella furrowing her eyebrows, Annabel puts on a cheery face and sits down on her saved seat.
