Part 10!

Part 10! Adam realised he needed to explain to his sister Rose about Eliza's pregnancy and her true nature. Rose was pretty open minded and unlike Adam she wasn't naive about the inhabitants of Bridgeport. "It's about Eliza..." Adam said to his sister, after she came to see him.

"She's pregnant, I know that, everyone seems to know!" Rose smiled, "I am going to be an auntie, yay!"
"It's not just that Rose...now don't be shocked..." Adam started but Rose cut him off.

"Oh I know she's a vampire too," Rose replied, "She only ever goes out when the suns not out, she doesn't eat much, she has creepy friends...Look Adam, don't look shocked, I enjoy the nightlife here and I have met a vampire or two and she is like them."
Later they sat down for dinner and spoke of the possible implications of the pregnancy, such as a half vampire child. Rose agreed to keep the secret and help raise the baby if anything happened. Before Rose left, she said her goodbyes to her brother and sister-in law and Adam felt like a weight was lifted off his shoulders. Eliza's pregnancy passed quickly and without any problems, including that of Ethan and Sophia. Adam was very attentive to Eliza's needs, as the baby was precious of them both. "I've long for a child of my own," Eliza smiled, almost ready to give birth, "Thank you for this gift." She smiled at Adam fondly. "Perhaps we will have more than one," Adam smiled back as Eliza kissed his neck softly. "Maybe not for a while!" Eliza laughed, "I haven't seen my toes in months!" That night they settled down to go to bed and spoke of the need to prepare some clothes in case the baby came. They agreed to do that tomorrow. "3 weeks until we see our baby," Adam smiled as he cuddled Eliza. "Many sleepless nights," Eliza reminded him. They soon fell asleep wrapped in one another and dreaming of their baby. But Eliza could not sleep, she knew the baby was coming. The pregnancy had not complications and the day evening they brought Daisy Jones home with them. Their beautiful little girl. They were besotted. Eliza's life was becoming complete, she had a daughter, something she thought she never would have. Whilst Adam went to work she enjoyed her time as a stay at home Mum. For once, life seemed to be going smoothly and hassle free. But deep down Eliza knew this feeling wouldn't last too long. "Adam," Eliza said, "I hope things will stay like this...I worry something bad will happen to us..."

Adam sighed as he rocked their baby daughter.
"Everything will be ok," Adam assured his fiancee and looked at his baby daughter.

"I will keep you both safe," Adam continued.

But deep down he had the exact same anxieties as Eliza. How long was this calm before the storm?
