Final part- it's all over! Thanks for all the comments and enjoy the end...
Finding the elusive new home was proving to be a struggle for Lucy. After taking a long break with her family, Lucy had finally returned home and was looking for a new place to live. A lot of things had changed since then, Dominic was now romancing Kate and they were both extremely happy. However, Lucy found herself alone and in need of a house worth investing in. As Lucy stood in front of the house before her she smiled, it was beautiful and colourful and looked like her dream home. The drive was spacious and tidy, on it was parked an expensive looking car that she assumed were the owners.
She headed inside, knowing very well she could not afford this house on her Chef’s wage. But she could dream, right? After all, the estate agent had called saying someone had recommended this house for her... As Lucy admired the view from the back of the house, she wondered if she could ever live a life like this. This home would be her haven and place of serenity and calm. But no matter how hard Lucy saved it was well above her savings. The grounds were stunning and Lucy could imagine a young and happy family living here, something she didn’t have. After exploring the inside and outside of the house, Lucy went to meet the owner to give them the bad news, she would not be buying this house. Even though it was her dream home. She sulked one last time before heading to the front of the house.
Then she came face to face with the owner of the house.
She was shocked to see Sebastian stood in the garden,
“You?” she asked confused and he nodded.
“Me,” he replied.
They took a seat on the bench and Lucy spoke, “I don’t understand...”
“Let me explain, this is now my house, I bought it,” Sebastian explained.
“But you recommended it to me?” Lucy answered.
“Yes, because I know you would love it. Plus I sort of missed having you around,” Sebastian smiled.
“That’s kind of you, but I fear it’s too expensive for me...” Lucy sighed.
“I know, so I have a proposal,” Sebastian smiled.
“You do?” Lucy said excited.
“Yes,” Sebastian said getting to his feet.
Lucy stood up too and they made contact.
“Are you ready for the proposal?” Sebastian asked and Lucy nodded.
“Ok well, I really like this house too, and I knew you would, so unless you plan to move someone else in...I was thinking we could be roommates?” Sebastian asked.
“But what about if you find someone...or I do,” Lucy replied.
“I don’t want anyone,” Sebastian smiled. He looked at Lucy intensely.
“But what if you find the one you want?” Lucy replied.
“I found her,” Sebastian answered, “But she doesn’t know how I feel,” Sebastian answered.
“Then you should tell her,” Lucy stammered.
“Oh Luce,” Sebastian said as he touched her cheek softly, “Can’t you see it’s you I want?”
“Me?” Lucy said shocked.
“You. From the first moment we quarrelled, only you,” Sebastian cooed.
“I love you,” Sebastian said softly, “Do you love me? Do you honestly understand how much I have missed you! How much I moped and spent on making this house perfect.” Lucy blushed as she touched Sebastian’s cheek.
“You do?” Lucy asked tearfully, “I didn’t know you felt that way. I have missed you too, but I need time to clear my head and put myself first for a change.”
“I know,” Sebastian replied, “You were with my brother, and I just wanted you to be happy, even if it wasn’t with me. I wanted you to have time to think.”
“You would make me very happy,” Lucy replied happily.
“I would,” Sebastian smiled assured, “I would worship the ground you walked on.”
“So I need to make another proposal, a better one,” Sebastian said.
“I’m listening,” Lucy replied holding his hand.
He leaned forward and kissed her softly, like the first time he had. “Here’s my proposal,” Sebastian said kneeling down, “Let’s move in together and spend the rest of our lives together. Let’s get married here and have children and grow old together.”
“What I am asking, but rather nervously, is I was wondering if you would marry me?” Sebastian asked as Lucy looked on shocked.
Lucy didn’t reply, she was too shocked to speak. “Don’t leave me hanging here,” Sebastian joked. “My answer is....” Lucy started and Sebastian’s heart raced.
“Yes to marrying you, yes to together forever and yes to children,” Lucy beamed happily. “Then we have a deal,” Sebastian smiled back.
Lucy laughed back and found herself very excited at the thought of marrying Sebastian. He was all she had thought about. He slipped the ring on her finger, a ring he’d bought in mind for Lucy. It looked wonderful on her hand.
Then she jumped into his arms and he held her close. She was everything he’d ever wanted. “My family are going to be happy you’re still joining our family,” Sebastian smiled, “They were gutted when you and Dominic ended it.”
“I am glad,” Lucy replied, “I love your family too.”
He touched her cheek softly and admired his fiancée adoringly. “Together forever,” Lucy smiled.
“That sounds good to me,” Sebastian said pulling her close, “I can’t wait for forever to start.” He kissed her gently.
He then swept Lucy off her feet and took her inside, “We might as well christen our new house...” Lucy giggled as he carried her inside. Their forever was about to begin.
The End :)
