Free Time!

I just installed Free Time today and I'm having so much fun playing and discovering all the new features!

The bad news is that my laptop is having a bit of trouble handling all the EPs and is starting to get a bit choppy, so I am considering to uninstall Pets, my least favourite EP.

The good news is that I really love the new objects and they have given me lots of new ideas for new lots :D

Edited to add that I ended up uninstalling Pets after all and it was a very liberating experience. I lost my old hood in the process, but I love the prospect of having a fresh new start! :)

Sci-fi and Medieval walls

I always loved sci-fi and medieval themes, so I guess it was only a matter of time before I tried to make something different. I had a lot of fun making these sets of walls and I hope you enjoy them as well! :)

Valentine Story and Hotel

Most of the times, I consider myself a rational person, but this year, something awful and embarrassing happened: I allowed the hopeless romantic in me take over my creations at TSR.

I hope this phase ends soon after Valentines day, so I can return to my normal state. Meanwhile, if you are like me, I hope you enjoy reading a fluffy romantic story made for Valentines day called.. well.. Valentine Story. I know it's not original, but as you can see, my brain has probably some malfunction, so I'm not responsible for my own actions.



The lot featuring the frontpage is actually a hotel called Valentine Hotel and will be released on Valentines day. Again, not really original! Anyway, I'm in trouble. I can't see how this happened in the first place, but I feel like I've been hit with a romantic curse. If someone cares, pray for this to end, as I'm two steps away from ruining my reputation forever at TSR.

New poll and other news

I'm opening a new poll to check how many of you that visit my place download my lots. It is really important that you should only answer the second question if you actually download my lots. I want to know which expansions do you have so I can make more lots according to those requirements.

In other news, the tutorial I was working on is finished and sent (again)! Now I'll just cross my fingers and hope for the best. :)

New Secret Society & Installation instructions

I noticed that on TSR there are only 5 Secret Society lots available for download and many people don't know exactly how to install them. So for those who are willing to try something new, I'll give you Domus Secretus + Installation Instructions!



This lot will be published as a residential home so you can see for yourself exactly what you are putting in your game and to avoid mistakes.


INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

IMPORTANT: Never forget that Maxis default Uni hoods already include a Secret Society lot (I'll call it SS) and there can only be one SS per hood!!If you have more than one SS in your hood, only the first will show up in game.

1- Create a custom Uni hood or recategorize the existing SS (I'll explain this last part later!);
2- Place the lot on your new Uni hood and enter it;
3- Open the cheat box and type: "changeLotZoning secretsociety". Remove the letterbox, save and exit the lot;
4- Put the lot back in the bin. Now place it again on the campus.
5- The lot has disappeared! Which means you now have a functional SS, which you can access by becoming a SS member!

Recategorizing existing SS into non-SS so you can add your own SS:
a- Take one of your sims to a SS lot (he has to be a member of course);
b- Once you're there, open the cheat box and type: "changeLotZoning dorm". Save it and exit the lot.
c- It isn't likely that this lot will appear ever again, but now you just need to follow steps 2,3 and 4 to have a new SS on your current Uni hood.

Hardford Mansion

The lot I was working on is finished. It's a residential lot and, as always, it has only Maxis content. It requires all EPs (from Uni to BV) and already includes a few reward objects and crafted items. I left 3 big rooms unfurnished so you can have fun decorating too. Here is the preview, I hope you guys like it!

Oh my...

Today I just checked how my lots were doing and discovered that one of my starter homes released this last September got past the mark of 4000 downloads! This is something really so awesome to me that I don't think I will ever be able to express it properly.

I'm really grateful for all the support and friendship I found in this wonderful site. So thank you guys for downloading my stuff and thank you TSR for allowing me to share my lots and giving me so much already!

And here's a project I'm working on. It's a residential home, but it's far from finished:

Just a quick update

Well, turns out the tutorial will take a bit longer to get published. I had already sent it, but this Monday I got an email from Maaike (the member of the staff in charge of the article submission) who was also working on a tutorial on the same subject.

So, in order to have one great tutorial instead of two good ones, we decided to incorporate some of her ideas that were missing in my tutorial. I will try my best to make these changes, but this means this project will take a bit longer to be concluded. I'm sorry for the delay everyone. Wish me luck! :)

Tutorial is finally finished!

Well, the tutorial I talked about some time ago is finally finished. There were times when I almost gave up on it, but now I'm pretty satisfied with the results. I do hope you guys enjoy reading it, so stay tuned to see it published at TSR in the near future :)

Christmas at TSR

It is very rewarding to see that so many people are enjoying the things I made for this season. But I still have a couple of more things to share before this season ends!
