How to update your published creation SIMS 3 ONLY
For Sims 3 Submissions we support revisions, meaning that you don't really replace the file, but instead upload a new revision. Once approved by our submission staff, the new file will be the one the downloaders get. Also, The Sims Resource members who have previously downloaded your creation will get a notification the next time they log in.
1. Upload Sims3Pack to File storage
The fixed file must be uploaded to the File storage as a Sims3Pack. If the file is zipped, extract it now.
2. Edit Published Submission
Click the Published tab, locates the specific creation, and click the icon to edit your creation. A bit down on the edit page you will have a link where it says "Need to replace this file?". Click that link, and a text box is opened. In this window, you can browse for your new file in file storage.
You must enter a description of what you have fixed in this revision of your creation. Be specific. If you say "updated" or "changed" your revision will not get approved. You must say exactly what you are fixing. Now click the Update button at the bottom of the edit page.
3. Waiting for Approval
Your creation will be added to Pending Updates, where it's awaiting approval by The Sims Resource staff. Until approved the old revision on the file will still be used on the site.
If you have questions about this, use the messaging system built-in to the Sims 3 Submissions area and our Staff will help you with your revision.
