Youre a grandmother! Awww congratulations! Wow, if you were ill, why couldnt anyone else slave over the hot stove, it dont seem right you had to do it, I hope you had some of the meal yourself? It was my boyfriends mum who spent all day over the stove, it was such a shame I didnt get any, maybe next year $\:\)$

*Nods* That was the entire point of my blog entry. If anything, people should go to MORE trouble to thank people who aren't FA's, because thanks and download numbers are more important, they aren't getting much else. Just as IMO, it's more important to thank people who aren't SA's either, because at least we have a shinny, pretty, graphic on our page that tells everyone we're slightly better. (At least in the opinion of TSR) I think though, that it's human nature for too many people to kiss the butts of those who need it the least, those we see as the most "important." Way back I worked in a record store and one day, a rather famous rock star came in and brought up to the counter, about 300 dollars in records (This is back before CD's!) My manager GAVE him the records, then asked everyone working to chip in to pay for them. Excuse me, but he GAVE a millionare a bunch of records and wanted US, making minimum wage, to pay for it. It makes no sense, but people do that. The fifty bucks was my food budget, to the rock singer, the 300 dollars was nothing. Yes, I babble, but the point is... for some reason, FA's are seen as the "Rock stars" of TSR, while Select artists are seen as...well, let's say the bass player. Awarded artists are seen as the tech roadies, and unawarded artists are the dogs (people temporarily hired in the city where the concert is taking place, only to work that concert.) The rock star has enough, yet everyone wants to give the rock star more. The bass player has less than the star, so is less likely to get excessive fawning, but more likely than the techs and dogs. Then the techs get a little bit of fawning, and the dogs pretty much get none. It's just... wrong. All of us work just as hard on our stuff (For the most part) it shouldn't be more important to thank the rock star than it is to thank the tech or the dog.
