Hello and welcome to the next part of What a Baby Can Do. This story doesn't have Ramiele in it that much but she'll be in it more in the next chapter. Thanks again to the CC creaters and I hope you enjoy the story!! When I heard the glass breaking I immediatly started crying. I had no clue what was going on and my mind started racing. "How can someone be breaking into my house? What if it was a burgular? It had to be, right? Who else would be breaking in? Oh my gosh, What in the world I'm I going to do?" I snapped out of my thoughts once I saw my window broken with glass shattered all over my bathroom floor. I started staring at my once beautiful window in shock, when suddenly I heard someone whispering, "She's gotta be around here somewhere. I know it, she has to be." The thought of someone being in my house was so overwelming that it didn't seem real, but hearing that voice made my fantasy a reality. I turned around to face them, tears still in my eyes, and I was scared half to death. But when I got a good look at them I realized I had nothing to be worried about. The burgular I was scared of wasn't a burgular at all. She was only a child. I was still furious. After all she did still break into my house and that is unexcussable no matter what her age.
"What in the world do you think your doing young lady?" I asked her firmly but sweetly.
"Where's Ramiele?"
"Ramiele? Wait a minute, how do you know Ramiele? And why are you breaking into my house?"
"Where's Ramiele?"
"Young lady, you better start talking, otherwise I'll be forced to call the cops. Now if you will explain to me what it is that your doing, then I might be able to let it slide."
"I'm not telling you a thing unless you tell me where Ramiele is."
"Why are you so concerned about Ramiele?"
She stared me in the eyes with a nasty look on her face, but didn't say a word. I could tell something was wrong with her, that there was something important that she didn't want to talk about.
I then decided to take on a different approch. I figured that being nice to her would get me further than being mean would, so I invited her into the living room to sit down. She sat down, still not saying a word, staring at the floor. I was surprised that she wasn't talking, since only a minute ago she was screaming at me. I needed a while to calm down so I told her that I'd be back in a moment, that I just wanted to get changed and then I'd come talk to her again. I figured that when I came back she would be gone, that she would climb out the window again and leave me alone--but she didn't. When I came back I was shocked, she was sitting there like a statue, watching my every move. I sat down next to her and was about to talk when she interupted me.
"My names Ashlee. You can probably tell by the looks of me that I'm lonely, I used to have a family though. But that was before auntie...."
She was going to continue but for some reason she decided to stop, and I didn't blame her. After all, she hardly knows me at all, I'm a total stranger to her.
Assuming Ashlee had nothing left to say I began to speak, "I could tell by the looks of you that you weren't a bad kid, i bet you just try to act tough."
"I'm not ACTING tough, i AM tough. I have to be." She stopped for a second but then resumed talking, "And I don't care what you say or what you think about me but--"
Then I interrupted her, "You know you don't have to be rude to me, Ashlee."
She then turned away from me and that got me extreamly aggrivated. "Ashlee, I'm talking to you. Look at me when I'm speaking to you." She did as I asked, and turned around. When I saw her face I could tell there were tears forming in her eyes.
"Sweetie, sweetie, What's wrong? I'm sorry I yelled at you, darling, I didn't mean to."
"It's not that, It's just that....I came here to see Ramiele and you asked me why, and I'm gonna tell you."
"Okay, go ahead, dear."
"Ramieles my cousin--"
I couldn't believe the first sentence, much less the rest of the story....
"Ramieles parents were my aunt and uncle but they acted as my parents. I even lived with them. My own parents were horrible. My dad left me and my mother when I was only five. And then my mom couln't handle me on her own so she deserted me a couple years later. So then Ramieles parents took me into their home."
"Sweetie, I had no idea--"
"Wait, theres more. When Ramieles parents died in the car crash I was left all alone. I've been living in an old, abandoned house for a few months now. And I had no idea what had happed to Ramiele until a couple of days ago. Then I heard that you adopted her so I broke in here to...."
Ashlee started sobbing like crazy so I put my arms around her and hugged her. "Sweetie, it's alright, it's gonna be alright."
"I just want my sister back."
"You'll have her back, you'll live with me, does that sound good?"
"I guess so..."
I brought Ashlee into my room to give her some new clothes and she was very greatful. She told me she'd been wearing the same outfit for a while now and she was glad to have something new and fresh to put on. After she got changed I invited her into the kitchen for some food but she asked me if she could see Ramiele first. She's been waiting for what seemed like a lifetime to see her cousin again so I led her to the baby's room. On her way to see Ramiele I saw Ashlee glance at a picture sitting on one of my shelves. It was a picture of Ramieles parents and I could see a huge grin form on Ashlee's face as she examined it. I was relieved considering the fact that she might start crying again. As soon as Ashlee entered the room Ramiele noticed.
"Ashwee, Ashwee, Ashwee! Hello Ashwee!"
Ashlee ran right over to her and gave her a huge hug and a kiss. I could see the happiness in both of their eyes. Watching them together made me so happy and although I just met Ashlee I could tell she was already an important part of my life.
I started to make brekfast while my kids played together. The thought of having two kids scared me but I knew I could--and had to, handle it. A short while later I called them into the kitchen for breakfast. I made them cereal, since it was the only thing left in the fridge. I decided we could go shopping later on during the day because I really needed more groceries and new furniture and clothes for Ashlee. I got Ramiele changed and ready to go but then I realized I didn't have much money to spend. I called up my boyfriend and asked him for a favor.
"Hi honey, You know that I hate to ask for money but I really need to borrow some, I'll pay you back of course, but it's so hard taking care of two children and not even have a full-time job."
"What are you talking about? You only have one kid, not two."
"Actually...."
I told him the whole story and he was extreamly surprised but supported my decision to keep Ashlee.
He told me that I could borrow some cash, but that I should really start to get a hold on my life. So I decided that I would start looking for a job the next day. I also decided to move out and into my boyfriends house. Living with him would make it so much easier to pay the bills and I loved him wiyh all of my heart so I figured we would be moving in together soon anyway. Plus, the girls could use a father-figure. After I got off the phone, we all headed to the store. We bought some more cereal, some clothes, furniture, and toys. I was about to go to the checkout counter when I heard my name on the stores loudspeaker, "Will the parents of Ramiele and Ashlee come to Isle 7 right away. It's an emergency."
I was very confused and didn't know why they were calling me, but then I realized that Ramiele and Ashlee weren't at my side anymore, that they must have wandered off. I ran to Isle seven to see what was going on and what I found was something worse than I could have ever imagined.
(I like this picture alot but didn't have a spot to put it into the story)
What happened with Ramiele and Ashlee?
Are they okay?
Find out in the next chapter of What a Baby Can Do!
