Lara walked in the door to find a small room, with a bridge running across it. She inspected the bridge for a second and noticed what was below it. Two ravenous wolves jumping up trying to reach her. Luckily there was a bridge she thought. An unstable, rickety bridge that gave way when she walked onto it. Lara fell into the pit with two wolves, she fumbled with her last fire cracker trying to light it. At last it caught, but it only scared them away for a few moments, just enough time for Lara to quickly climb out of the pit. Just a few scrapes and bruises. Then she continued on. Lara eventually came into a room that had solid pillars on either side of a path. She followed the path but there was a gap in the middle of it. There was no-where she could use her grapple but there was already a conveniently placed rope hanging down the middle of the gap. But much like she shouldn't have trusted the bridge, this rope wasn't all that trustworthy either. It snapped and Lara fell into yet another pit, she was thankful however that there wasn't any wolves in this pit. She started to look around when a sudden loud roar erupted and echoed all around her. Lara turned to see a massive grizzly bear charging right at her. She started to scramble up the side of the ditch, with all her strength she managed to pull herself up and out and the bear took a swipe at her and just narrowly made contact. Her heart was beating a mile a minute but she'd survived. The bear did do some good, she was now on the other side. Lara followed the path down some stairs and into a passage. Lara followed the mossy passage until it lead into a huge open room with a large door just opposite her. She started walking closer to the door and realised there was more of the spears she had encountered before. There was no hieroglyphs and no obvious leavers to deactivate them. Lara had to rely on her timing and her nerve to get through it. With crouching, jumping and rolling through most of the shooting spears she got to the other end safely and landed on another pressure plate right in front of the large doors. The door looked like it had unlocked but it didn't open. Damn. Lara looked up at the door and noticed there were two more logs in the door she had to unlock for it to open. Up to her left she could see a lever. She had some climbing to do. It wasn't too far up though, which was always nice. She pulled the lever and unlocked the first part of the door. Lara continued on to the opposite side, where there resided another lever. Climbing up and pulling it unlocked the second part of the door. She jumped back down and landed on the pressure plate. The doors slowly and clumsily opened themselves, and Lara walked through the stream of water and on her way. She continued up a flight of stairs and followed a passageway that led her to another opening, The City of Vilcabamba. She'd found it. From here it should be easy to find Qualopec's Tomb and the first of the three pieces of the Scion. There was some old huts and Lara started to explore and investigate them for any signs of life, much to her dismay there were none. Just the huts themselves and the dirt on the ground. Lara came upon a locked door that must lead to somewhere, so she set out to find the key. When she thought all hope was lost, she decided to take one last look in a small pit of water that was directly in the center of the village and to her relief she found the village key and went and unlocked the door.
