The night before Justin became a teenager, Robert made a decision that he had been thinking about for a long time.

The night before Justin became a teenager, Robert made a decision that he had been thinking about for a long time.
Robert was getting older and he had always dreamed of living in France. He and Bella had spent many moonlit nights talking of plans to move to Paris. But that never happened. They never got to see the Eiffel Tower or take a boat ride down the Seine.
Robert threw a pool party for Justin’s birthday.
Justin invited his closest friends. He wanted to spend this last night with them because tomorrow, Justin and Robert were moving to France.
He promised to email them often.
Robert took one last look out the window, in the direction of Bella’s house.
Then he took one last look at her photo. He was leaving it behind. Walking away.
The next morning Bella went to Robert’s house. She had been past there so many times and wanted to stop, but she never did. She knocked on the door…knock…knock…knock… No answer. Just then the mailman was walking past. “You looking for Mr. Grove, mam?” Yes, I am.
“I’m sorry mam, but yesterday he told me he was moving to France…said they were leaving bright and early this morning.”
Bella was clearly devastated. She went home and stared at the walls.
She couldn’t eat, or sleep. Faeries usually live for hundreds of years. But not if they have no will to do so. She could begin to feel her age. She didn’t care. What did she have left to live for now?
She saw the mailman had been here, the flag was up. But there was no word from Robert. She had no right to question how he could do this to her, to them, after all that she had done.
Yes, she was beginning to age. She could do Magick to stop the aging, but why bother?
Day after day…
It was always the same.
Flag up…nothing from Robert.
She wondered if he was finally happy. Did he smile now?
Her garden withered away.
And she looked out the window.
She didn’t live, she only survived.
And she looked out the window.
He wasn’t coming back.

I hope this isnt the end! I don't think it is, but you have me hooked. I hope Bella gets happy again, and is able to control her aging so she can live longer. Great Story. !

That is so sad, but I must say though that Bella has only bought this upon herself. \:confused\: She tricked Robert into falling in love with her and made him believe that the child she was bearing was his. Did she really expect him to come running back to her? I wish Robert and his adopted son good luck in France. There are probably some sweet french women that would love to meet Robert. That was a great chapter, Runesong. \;\)

Oh, poor Bella \:\( I hope Robert's happy, he does deserve to be but I feel for Bella seen as she was only trying to make everything perfect with her magick. There's always a side effect, though. I'll be waiting for more \:\) Congrats on being featured!

Oh, that was just heartbreaking! I think somewhere along the line Bella did truly fall in love with Robert but, like going to see him, it all happened too late. Just beautiful - and well deserved to be featured.

Poor Bella!! No matter what, I really don't think she deserved this. She needs to find her own something. I loved how you made the last travel destination - the last destinaton for Robert too. And how you featured the dying garden as part of the story that reflected Bella's situation too. Also, it's funny how her beautiful vibrant house was so full of magic in the beginning...but now as she feels lifeless, it seems too bright, too overpowering, too powerful for one now frail, lonely, sad woman. The contrast was so strong with each screenshot as she grew older and more fragile. So powerful! \:eek\: I'm just hoping - pleasepleasePLEASE - for a happy ending for poor Bella!
