When a man insists that he is Violet's father, should she believe him? Is he the ticket to get Violet back home?

When a man insists that he is Violet's father, should she believe him? Is he the ticket to get Violet back home? "I'm so glad I found you," The man said, "I've missed you and your mother so dearly,"
"Then why did you leave us?" I asked, narrowing my eyes,
"I couldn't stop it," He said, "I fell asleep in our world and then woke up here, just like you did. You don't believe me, do you?"
"No, I do," I said
"I've missed you so much," He said, and he leaned in for a hug. Deep down I think I did doubt him a bit, but I knew what it was like to wake up in a strange world and not know what was happening.
"I have a house nearby and your mother has just been successfully transported, soon we can be a family again," He said happily.
I took Dad down to where Roan was waiting. I soon as I got through the gates, Roan threw his arms around me, lifting me up a few inches.
"Thank God!" He whispered in my ear, "I was so worried!" He pulled back from the hug and did something completely unexpected.
He kissed me. Suddenly I lost all awareness of the world around me and all that mattered was me and him. But he pulled back too quickly and smiled weakly at me, I gazed at him, still feeling his kiss on my lips. "Ahem," Dad cleared his throat loudly, ruining the moment. Roan suddenly realised he was there,
"Who's he?" Roan asked,
"He's my Dad, he's got Mum and is taking me home. We can be a family again,"
"Oh, good," Roan said, but he didn't sound convinced.
"Well, c'mon children! Your mother will be awake soon!"
Dad led us down to the fork in the path, but instead of going back down to the bridge, he went down the other prong of the path, deeper into the forest. Roan brushed his hand over mine and smiled at me, my cheeks blazed and I looked at the floor. After an hour of walking we reached Dad's home.
"Well this is it," Dad said, "Home," He breathed in deeply.
Roan took my hand and twisted me towards him,
"I don't trust him," He whispered, "Let's go back, get a small house in the forest somewhere,"
"He's not to be trusted, Violet, I can sense it,"
"How can you say that?!" I exploded, "First you refuse to cross the bridge and now this! Don't you want me to be happy?"
"I do it's just-"
"Just what, Roan? Just that you want me all to yourself, is that it? I'm not a possession!"
"Fine, I'll go." He said,
"Fine." I retorted and turned my back on him.
I heard his footsteps grinding on the dirt.
I sneaked a look back at him. He was running down the path. I felt bad for what I'd said to him and very vulnerable. "Where's he going?" Dad asked, a look of concern on his face, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine,"
"That's good, c'mon, lets go and see your Mum. She's in the bedroom in the cellar,"
"Okay," I said and went up to the stairs. Dad followed me and I came to the door. I let him go first so he could unlock it. He opened the creaking door and led me inside to the cellar. The rooms were furnished with objects from this world and my own world. The cellar was a different story, there was no furniture at all. The stone floor and walls made it seem like it had been carved out of the rock beneath the house and left. He took me into another room, just like the one before. He opened the door to another room and pushed me in. I screamed in shock and I stumbled and hit something metal, metal bars. I gasped at what I saw. Cold realisation of what was happening dawned on me before it happened. Mum stood behind the metal bars, she was dressed in exactly the same clothes as the day when I'd been hit by the car.
"Mum?" I breathed. Her head snapped upwards,
"Violet!" She gasped, "Run! He's a monster!"
But 'Dad's' hands were on my shoulders in an iron grip, he threw me inside the cell where Mum was.
"Silly little Violet," 'Dad' sneered, "Always the trouble causer."
I frowned at him, rage bubbling up in my stomach. Roan was right: he wasn't to be trusted.
"Now, prepare yourself to face your worst nightmare!" 'Dad' said. I looked at Mum, tears streaked down her cheeks, she was staring at the not-dad. Brown hair sprouted from his scalp and his nose enlarged. His features distorted and the white of his eyes turned red and the pupil swallowed up his iris.
"I am Abbadon!" He declared and laughed hysterically.

Oh dear!! Let's just hope Roan only made it look like he was leaving and actually came back for her. How dreadful to be tricked like that.
