I feel a warmth around me
like your presence is so near,
And I close my eyes to visualize
your face when you were here,
I endure the times we spent together
and they are locked inside my heart,
For as long as I have those memories
we will never be apart,
Even though we cannot speak no more
my voice is always there,
Because every night before I sleep
I have you in my prayer.

They were all in shock.
It was not true… but then it was…
Mike awoke to a growling stomach that morning.
“Man, I’m hungry. I think I’ll make us some waffles.”
“Rowan, hey, you want some waffles for breakfast?” “Heavy sleeper that Rowan is. I’ll just wake him when they're ready.” “Rowan, come eat while they're hot... Rowan?” “...Rowan?” “Rowan? Hummmm... well maybe he went out for a jog. Going outside to get the morning paper. Mike discovers his bike is missing. Wondering to himself if it was possible that Rowan took it for a spin.
Making a phone call to Rowan’s cell....no answer.
...Bringing in the paper with mild worry creeping in. The silence to Mike was nearly unbearable. All Mike could hear was the squeak in the drawer as it closed. “Where could he be?”
“Hey mom, have you heard from Rowan? ... Mom, what is it...what’s wrong?
hm...Something to tell me... Mom, what’s wrong???...OK, I’ll wait for you.”
Anxiety soon found it’s way into Mike’s blood stream. Calling his friend Summer.
“Hey Summer, could you come over. I’d really like to see you? Thank you so much...
see you in a few."
“Summer, thank you for coming over. I just need someone to be with. I have this awful
dread... I haven’t seen Rowan today. He was gone when I woke up and my bike is gone... Summer I think he took my bike out. My keys are gone. I noticed just the other day it needed some brake work done. What if something bad happened. “
“Mike, please try not to worry. I know how you must feel, just wait till you talk to your mom. Sometimes things happen that are out of our control and you must remember that there is a reason for everything even though we don’t always know the reason why. Hey...Mike....I have to get going, I wish I could stay longer. My class is starting in a little bit. Can I come back over later?”
“Yes, yes please do Summer and thanks for coming. I enjoy being with you. I’ll see you later.”
“Mike honey...come let's sit... “Mike, I have something to tell you. Some police officers came to your Aunt Fred
and Uncle Sean house this morning...”
“Mom, what it is...I can’t sit. I need to stand...what happened..It’s Rowan isn't it...
something happened to him...didn’t it...on my bike......????"
“Mike please listen...it wasn’t your fault...
“Noooooo Mom...I can’t listen to this...noooooo... it can’t be.....mom...”
“Mike there was an accident....”
“Is...is....he alright mom.......mom just tell me he’s going to be OK.....
“Honey....he...he...passed away before they could get him to the hospital.”
“Mom, it’s my fault...if I had just got my brakes fixed the moment I knew they
were going bad. The shop was closed. I was going to take it in today....I could have stopped this from happening. Aunt Fred and Uncle Sean must surely blame me.”

“No, honey...no....no they don’t, it’s not your fault, how were you to know. You could not have changed what was to be. Things happen for a reason even though we don’t always understand why.”

“Yes, Summer said that too....”
“I will stay with you for awhile, for as long as you need me. I love you.”
“Thanks mom.....I love you too.”
For Mike the pain and suffering was most heavy, for him he carried the weight
of them all. The passage of time heals all pain.
Fred didn’t talk. Fred was painting. “Fred… Rowan’s funeral will be next Wednesday. I called Rex and Wanda. I think Mike can use the extra support too. He feels so guilty. Fred… “ “….Oh... Barb…. It is not Mike’s fault… It is awful he feels guilty. I had a strange feeling , an uneasy feeling about Rowan for some time now… It was as if… as if I knew this was….g..”
“Sis… Come here… You need to let it all out. We all grieve, but I can’t even start to imagine what it must be like for you….”
“… Cry Fred… Cry all your tears… Let it all out. Talk to me, talk to Sean… or talk to a doctor. We all need you in our life Fred…. Think of Holly…of Sean…”
“….Thanks Barb… I guess I will make an appointment with Doctor what’s his name…the one downtown in Bridgeport. I need to pick up the pieces…WE need to pick life up where it so devastatingly crashed… You are right, we might all need to talk about it… Him.”
“Sweetheart…? I think it will be good for us. For all of us. We need to give it a place…” “I can feel him still Sean... Like he would walk in the door any minute…”
“Fred, honey… It… needs time. I need time, we need time. It’s supposed to be true what they say, that time will heal. Here… drink this. I named it the Rowan’s Special”
And so that inescapable day arrived. It was a beautiful day, but it felt like the rain would never stop falling down on them. They buried Rowan at Sunset Valley's Graveyard...Rowan’s home, now forever… Afterwards everyone went to the house. The house where Rowan was born, where Holly was born. Where they lived their happy life. Barb looked at her sister and brother in law... she was heartbroken seeing them in so much pain... They ate together, drank some nectar... even laughed... They talked about Rowan mostly. It would take them some time to recover from this blow. ...Farewell Rowan...

6 months later Fred and Sean pick up the pieces... They put the house up for sale and looking at properties closer to Holly... Barb and Nita think they will follow...After all... life goes on... daughters are getting married... family is dear. You want to stay close....

And so it is that the Sisters put their homes up for sale.
To start anew. To be closer to the ones that are here now.
To welcome the beginning of new chapters not yet written.
To live nearby, where in the distance the bright City Lights look like stars.

Ya, the houses are for sale - hopefully not the life of all those who have to go on. So sad.

Oh! it is already out! so fast. ^_^... now on the story, I felt sad also when I read that xander's father is already dead. “Can we stay like this for a while?” awww this line, made me teary, so touchy.... I'm totally curious, what would xander's reaction if he discover that annie's real name is aerith johnson's.... so excited for the next chapters.
