Welcome to the next installment of Our Love. If you've been reading along since the beginning, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Ralph watched as the scene between Mayor Alto and the beautiful woman who he'd never seen before. His heart raced as he found himself unable to turn his attention away from the stranger. Her golden brown complexion radiated in the sunlight. Her soft, jet black curls bounced with every movement she made while yelling at Mayor Alto.

He was fascinated by her. Yet found himself confused by the commotion that she was participating in. He, himself had just returned to Sunset Valley after years of living in the neighboring town of Riverview, training to be a firefighter.

"You're evil." The strange woman accused. "You only think of yourself."

Mayor Alto laughed, "You're right, I do think of myself, who else should I think of?"

The instant he laid eyes on her, he knew there was something about this woman. He wanted to know everything about her. Her likes, dislikes, favorite colors. Strangely he even found himself wanting to make her smile, especially as Mayor Alto stalked off, leaving the stunned crowd speechless.
Maneuvering himself through the throngs of protesters, Ralph smiled to himself as he stood in front of the beautiful woman. Wiping his palms against the softness of his cotton pants, he tried desperately to calm himself.

Lovely frowned. Her eyebrows furrowed, causing several creases to form in her forehead. The nerve of Mayor Alto to blatantly snub the town's people. She was incensed. The woman was crazy. Lovely shook her head, turning to walk away, however she discovered that the path was blocked by an unmovable object. One very handsome, and strong unmovable object.
"My apologies," Ralph whispered, just in time to avoid colliding with the woman. His eyes wondered over her flawless face. Her eyes pulled him into them, mixing with his soul and created an intense feeling that burned him from the tips of his toes, to the very last follicle of hair on his head. She was absolutely stunning. Taking a deep, cleansing breath, Ralph spoke, introducing himself to her.

Lovely tried her best to hide the heat that rose in her cheeks, tinting them a lovely shade or coral. Ralph was extremely attractive. His body was ripped, which instantly caught her eyes, yet even though he had an intimidating stance and often cocky feel to him, after hours of conversation, she found out that he was neither those things.
Just like she helped hundreds of people each and every day at the hospital. Ralph unselfishly risked his life day in and day out as a firefighter. Sometimes rushing into an unbearable heat, only to emerge victorious over the flames as they destroy homes and threaten lives. As the conversation progressed, both Lovely and Ralph discovered that they shared several things in common.

"You're a genius?" Ralph questioned, unable to stop himself from smiling.

Lovely nodded, a small smile creeping along the lines of her lips. "Yes I am. I graduated college at a young age and finished med school in a year."

"Wow!" Ralph was completely floored. Not only was she beautiful, but the woman whose name described her perfectly was smart.
Even with the reemergence of Mayor Alto couldn't get Lovely to look away from the man who had caused butterflies to flap vigorously around in the pit of her stomach. "Really, I was born and raised here, but moved away to do some training in another town." Ralph replied, after discovering that Lovely was from Bridgeport, but moved to Sunset Valley to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city."

"Do you miss the city?"

Lovely chuckled, her thoughts racing back to her cramp one bedroom apartment in one of Bridgeport's sky-rises. The loud thumping of her neighbors against the thin walls. She shook her head. "Not really, but I hope to move back there. The hospital there is in need of a doctor who will listen to the patients."
Time continued to pass the two by, as they continued to get to know one another. Finally, as the sun was no longer visible in the sky, Ralph found the opening he needed.

"Well, I would love to see you again, Lovely. I was hoping that maybe we can hang out soon."

Giggling sheepishly, Lovely began to blush uncontrollably. "I would really like that."
