The Zoo
Dear All,
Today, I went to the Zoo with my mom and sisters. My dad wasn't there because he had to go to Tanzania for his work at 6 in the morning. I woke up at 5:30 to say goodbye and then I crept back into my bed.
After I slept for a about another two hours or so, I woke up, showered, had breakfast, played on Sorority Life on Facebook (I'm trying to steal my sweetheart back after my sister stole him yesterday) and then I put my lenses in and we shoved ourselves into the car. Me and my little sister watched the beginning of the movie 'Into the Woods' all the way to the Zoo. We bought our tickets, went through the gates and walked all the way to the monkeys. There were two males, one female and a little baby one which was amazingly cute!! After a few minutes watching the monkeys, we went on to the elephants and flamingo's. There were millions of flamingo's, all asleep. One was wobbling widely on his one leg, and it was funny to watch him. There were a few children elephants, littler than the normal ones but much bigger than the twin baby's! Well, they weren't really baby's, just a few months old, actually. They were really cute and little, they hardly knew how to use their trunk and they wobbled a bit on their legs. There was a really big elephant, probably five times my height (and I'm 140 centimeters) with amazingly long tusks and a big, fat trunk. My sisters and I nearly choked with laughing when we saw his 'manly privacy' - it was so incredibly long it nearly touched the floor!! Anyway, after the elephants we went to the snakes. There were lots of them and they were all really scary! There were pythons (I really liked a python that was bright green and ate birds. It hangs in a tree like a leaf, and when a bird flies by it quickly snatches it from the sky and... ''yummy, yummy in my tummy!'') and scary cobras that watched us with beady black eyes... AAAAAAAAHHHH!!!! There was also a snake body stretched out and it was nearly four meters!! After the snakes, we went to the kangaroos. They were really cute and there was one that was pregnant and a baby kangaroo too! It was funny to see them walk and hop. When we finished looking at the kangaroos, we went to the pelicans. They were funny, but boring, so we quickly went further on to the panthers! We watched from inside a glass house as a panther walked aimlessly next to us! Then we looked at the African animals. There was a really cute baby zebra that was eating poop, a baby giraffe that was licking a metal pole and lots of funny gazelles and racing zebras and a big giraffe that came so near we could nearly touch it. There was a swine, cool birds and little birds and various others which I can't remember. Moving on, we came to the meerkats! They were so incredibly cute that it was hard to go away from them. One of them came up to us and really looked at us with his little black eyes! So cute! After we went to the bear. We couldn't find it at first but then we walked a little bit further and we found him! He was big and brown with intelligent black eyes. He was swimming in the water and then (twice he did this) he suddenly started splashing the water around him. It was really nice to look at. But eventually it got very crowded and so we went further to the 'prairie dogs'. I'm not sure what they are called in English because the Zoo was dutch, but I think it was something like that. Anyway, they were really cute too and there was a little baby that was clinging to it's mother's tummy. After that we went to the seals. There was one seal that was being trained to do tricks. It was really funny to look at and then my sister said ''it looks like a mermaid'', which I guess it does. Anyway, after the seals we walked a little further to the Wild West animals. They were nice, but very boring so we went onto more monkeys. They weren't as fun as the other monkeys in the beginning, but at least they were monkeys. There was a petting zoo, but there was nothing to do and it was really really boring so we walked back to the elephants. When we got there, there was a man that was feeding the elephants. It was really cute to see the baby one trying to pick up a piece of watermelon with it's trunk that didn't really work. After the elephants were fed, the man also washed them with a hose and every elephant ran away from it except this one that ran through it the entire time and then it fell to the ground and started rolling in the sand! Then we ate our sandwiches and my sisters and I played for a while. When we finished our sandwiches we went to the sharks. They were really freaky and so we quickly walked to the butterflies. They were beautiful, but it was so warm and stuffy that we walked back out again. When we were in the hall there was a butterfly on the wall, away from its home! We didn't know what to do, but this man came up and he carefully picked up the butterfly by its wings and placed it back in the other room where all the other butterflies were.
After that part of the zoo, we went to the second part which was a ten minute walk but closer to the car than the one we were at. Because that zoo is split into two parts. One part that is actually a zoo, and the other (part Es) that is more for children and has a gigantic indoor playground!! So we went to part Es, walked around for a bit and then, finally, we went to the playground. My sisters and I played for about an hour, when we went back up to my mum to go to the toilet. Then my mum said we could eat something, so all my mum had a coffee, my sisters and I all had a slushpuppy and we shared a large plate of nachos. Then we played a little bit more, but eventually we had to go home.
Just before I end this post, I would really like to thank Vanilla Sim for giving me two tutorials on how to make custom content. Now I can finally make my own stuff! Thank you, again, Vanilla Sim. I have also figured out how to make stories, so watch out for my stories and the new CC that I am going to make!
