This is the story of Jemma and Sam.

Info/Downloads:

- I downloaded the lovely mansion from thesimsresource.com. I modified the interior/exterior and added a barn. The link for the original can be found here: http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/1090093

- I downloaded Sam from the exchange, all I did was change his clothes. The original can be found here: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=4790800

- I made Jemma myself and she is available on the exchange here: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=4974148

- The whole Helmsley clan is available for download on my page on the exchange, however, I suggest downloading them individually as when I tried re-downloading them, Sam and Aldous both had problems/bugs

Thanks everyone! Hope you enjoy!

Over the next few weeks, Jemma and Sam spoke in passing. Sam never saw Mr. Helmsley. He was always in his office or at the equestrian center. Lately, Sam had been noticing Jemma sneaking out at late hours.

So tonight, Sam decided to follow her.
By the time he caught up to her, it was light out. Her horse was there, so she couldn’t have been far. “Jemma?” “What are you doing here?” she asked with a sigh. Sam smiled. “You couldn’t have thought your late night trips would go unnoticed. A guy gets curious.” “I thought that was the whole point of sneaking out - to go unnoticed,” she said with a hint of resentment. “Well I guess you weren’t doing a very good job of it,” he laughed. “Guess not…” Sam sensed the sadness in her voice.

“So what are you doing out here anyway?” he asked.

She looked out towards the water and answered quietly, “No one is here this early… It gives me space to think.”

“I would think in that huge mansion, you’d have all the space you need!” he exclaimed half sarcastically.
“That place is a PRISON!” She fell silent, taking a breath to subdue her anger. She hadn’t meant to yell at Sam.

“Sorry,” she murmured.
Sam looked at Jemma. He noticed she wasn’t as dressed up as she usually was. The breeze gently tugged at her sweater and he thought she looked more like herself than she ever had.

“You’re really beautiful in ‘civilian’ clothes, as your father would call ‘em,” he said with a smirk.
“Ha! He would kill me if he even knew I owned a pair of jeans!” she giggled.

Sam had never seen her laugh before. She was extraordinary.

“Your father’s not the easiest guy to get along with, is he?” he said, his smirk slowly disappearing.

“You could say that…” she said as she turned to face to water. A strange expression appeared on her face. ”You know, the other day I realized something… I’ve completely lost my passion for riding. My whole life has revolved around it, for as long as I can remember. But it hasn’t been mine for a very long time…” She started to drift off, becoming lost in her thoughts.
“What do you mean?” Sam pulled her back to the present. She turned to face him, tears forming in her eyes.

“My father puts so much pressure on me to win that I don’t enjoy it anymore. The one thing that I that I knew and loved down to my core is lost to me.” She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to keep the tears at bay. She wasn’t used to being so vulnerable.
“I just feel so disconnected…” she whispered.

The sun was rising and the early morning light made the tears on her cheeks gleam. Her sorrow seeped into Sam, his heart aching for her. He took a few minutes to form the words he wanted to say. He wanted to say the most perfect thing, anything to ease her pain.
“We all lose our way sometimes. You just have to make it yours again. Stop training so hard and take the pressure off. Let’s go out once in a while and just ride. Anywhere. Just to do it. We’ll take baby steps.” It wasn’t anywhere near perfect, but Sam hoped it was what she needed. Jemma wiped the wetness from her eyes and gave him a smile.

“Thanks Sam.”
