During art class, I met up with Opal again. What she said in gym class was still on my mind. I absently twirled my paint brush 'round the canvas and tried (or rather, pretended) to listen to Miss Evans. Not even her creative vocabulary and bright colors could draw my attention. What DID was Opal. I suddenly glanced up from my canvas and noticed her total makeover. Her hair was stylish, her makeup was gaudy....what in the world had she done to herself? "Noticed you got a makeover," I grunted, as I blended colors. Opal didn't look up. "Noticed you made friends with Valentina," she mumbled back. "And Kailah and Sarabeth gave me the makeover. They're my friends now." Now THAT caught my attention completely. "What?!" I exclaimed. "You have got to be kidding me!" Unfortunately, that was a bit too loud for my own good. Miss Evans turned to look at me. "Is there a problem, Serenity?" she asked calmly, trying not to draw further attention to me. That was one of the reasons I liked her. She didn't try to embarrass me a lot. I managed to keep my cool. "Sorry about that, Miss Evans. I spilled some blue paint on my shoes, but I'll clean it up," I responded smoothly. "Ah, that's all right, Serenity. I've got plenty more in the closet. Just worry about your shoes," Miss Evans smiling, as if she understood. I think she knew I was lying, but didn't mind. Sometimes it paid to have a young, friendly teacher. I whirled around, turning back to Opal. "Now," I began to whisper, "I thought you believed that those girls had the sense of humor of a six-year-old! Now you're going to be friends with...with them??" Opal snorted, "Serenity, don't you see? This is high school. You have to fit in somewhere. The popular girls gave me an offer in first period classes, where they'd give me a makeover and instant popularity. I was willing to take it. The popular group is a first-class ticket through high school, like royalty. I think that it's worth it to be popular," she hissed, still laughing softly. Opal began admiring herself in her handmirror. "Besides," she giggled, "I look great!" I sighed and returned to painting. "You are starting to sound like my sister, Opal," I groaned. "What did they want, in return for 'glory' and 'beauty', anyway?" "Ah, they wanted me to ditch you and diss Valentina," Opal answered subtly. She snorted again, haughtily, "I, personally, think it's kind of worth it. You're so depressing, and she's so....freaky. I think it's weird you're hanging out with her, and that goth guy, besides." "His name is Bryan," I hissed, "and he's a great guy. Go ahead and join the popular squad. They're waiting for you." I was so furious, it was hard to keep my voice to a whisper. Then I cooled off. I turned to my painting, which was slowly taking form (not a very good form, but a form nonetheless). Painting was soothing, and though I wasn't awesome at it, it helped me relax. Opal rolled her eyes. "You're still weird, you know that?" I ignored that, but could feel someone's eyes on me. Shooting a glance, I realized that a friendly-looking girl was smiling shyly at me. Before I could say anything to her..... BRIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The bell rang.
"All right, class, we'll continue this tomorrow...." Miss Evans announced, but everyone was already pumped to get out the door.
The last class before Study Hall was Health, and Ms. Clavy decided to give us all a short quiz on the parts of the human skeleton. "I think you should all know this. Don't forget to put your name and date. You may begin," she announced. Yes, she was a "quizzer" teacher, but friendly and helpful too. Besides, I didn't mind. This was easy to me. I know this. What are the fingers called? Oh, right, phalanges. I scribbled that down and was speeding through the quiz. At first, Shelby and Kailah were whispering secretively, but that ended after a matter of seconds. Surprisingly, it didn't take the teacher to quiet them. (Author's Note: Serenity did not know that someone was eyeing her paper intently.....) After everyone had finished the quiz, Ms. Clavy told us to talk while she graded the papers in the room across the hall. "Hey, after school, let's hang out at my house," I suggested, shooting a glance at Kailah, "where we can't be interrupted." Bryan laughed, then agreed. He didn't seem too fond of Kailah either. Kailah had turned her seat around, like me, and was gossiping with Shelby. I couldn't tell what she was talking about, but I didn't care. Hopefully it didn't involve me. Five minutes into the conversation, I heard Ms. Clavy call, "Kailah? Serenity?" I quickly looked up. What would involve Kailah and me...with a teacher? Hopefully she wasn't making us do a project together. I didn't think I could do that. Ms. Clavy waved and gestured for us to come outside. The smile on her face appeared forced, so I had an uneasy feeling in my stomach. Maybe it was nothing to worry about..... *Serenity couldn't hear the conversation between Shelby and Kailah.
"Part two! You think this part of the plan is worth it?" Shelby asked, giggling.
Kailah laughed. "Oh, it's definitely worth it."* And that concludes Part Four. Sorry it took so long. Goodie has been having lots of school work, and then on weekends she's either being lazy or watching Hercules or Pirates of the Caribbean. Like, for example, she's been trying to watch Family Guy all weekend. :P Ha!
Anyways, here are the dramatic *end of the chapter* questions: What are Kailah and Shelby talking about? What does Ms. Clavy want? And what is going to happen now that Opal's a popular girl? We might find the answers in Part Five......but who knows when THAT'LL be? *glares angrily at Caroline*
And here's an "end of the part" odd picture, with the Health Teacher giving the dummy mouth-to-mouth.
Honestly, Ms. Clavy, I know you're a Romance Sim but this is a bit much!

Loved the ending. Why the cliffhanger!!!WHHYYYYY!!! *ahem*
Loved this part, can't wait for part 5, I think Opal looks even uglier (I am now allowed to hate her!) and I don't like her, she's ugly, I don't like her! Lol. I think whatshername (the blonde one) has been cheating by looking at Seren's paper, (evil child! The blonde one, not Serenity) And, oooh, what ARE those two planning, Brayn and Serenity, where we can't be interrupted.......... *wooo's childishly*

Ignore my waffle (poor waffle) I loved it, can't wait 4 5. (Hee hee, 4, 5, geddit? 8) \:\) \:D

I can't believe Serenity the Outcast is just a muggle Sims AU of the Marauders era.
Think about it!
(Opal: traitorous Peter Pettigrew who turns to the dark side) (Valentina: Remus, a clever sweetheart with a stigma because of what she is or what she looks like -- abnormal pink skin vs. lycanthropy)
(Bryan: Sirius, silver-eyed and black-haired, depressed and physically harmed at first but finds happiness in new friends who accept him for being different, also a loyal goofball)
(Serenity: James, protagonist who loves her friends, makes a lot of cheesy jokes, is actually kind of full of herself and self-righteous because she's sure she's the good guy)
(Kailah: Lily, shoulder-length dark red hair and a fiery personality, sharp-tongued and cheeky, Serenity/James's attitude infuriates her)

Arguably Serenity might be Lily (vibrant primary color hair, bright green eyes, cheeky, stands up for what she believes in, confronts James/Kailah for being a bully)
Then Opal would be Snape (dark hair, pale, disappointed Seren/Lily by betraying what she stood for) and Sarabeth would be Petunia (prefers strict conformity and thinks of her sister as a freak, but still cares about her deep down)
I don't know who Val and Bryan would be in this case (Mary? Marlene? Dorcas? Frank and Alice Longbottom??) but Kailah is definitely James Potter (popular bully often seen with close friend, full of herself, was actually playful when Seren/Lily first confronted her, but doesn't know what her problem is)

Just something you notice when you'd rather look back on old stories than work on a term paper. I don't think anyone's going to see this but I wanted to post it somewhere \:\)
