Part Two of Chapter Two. Alliteration? I vote yes.

Hope You Enjoy.
It was a section of the Underground completely disconnected from the rest—like a subterranean summer home for Vampyric royalty, excruciating difficult to locate and tortuous to gain access to, unless you knew the easy way. I knew the easy way—through a secret nook in the back of the Bridgeport Mausoleum. The perfect place for my son and Marisa Roberts, a freelance reporter (last I checked), a witch, the person who saved my life— If I had to let my Oren go at least it is to someone I can like. I don’t bother knocking. The place is empty. Messy, too. Which revealed to me two things: one Marisa and Oren did not leave together, for if they had, Oren would have given himself enough time to clean up, and two—my son gone and Rufa panicked, all in one day— Something is happening, and I am not going to sit around and wait for it to unfold. But, here, I had to make a choice—follow the tugging pull in my stomach or find my son, wherever in this world he could be. Instead, I made two calls. One to the ex-head of my guardsmen, “Hello, Wyleman. Remember way back when? When I was . . . unwell, and on your watch, my son left the protection of my palace and went on a wild adventure that did save my life, but more importantly, he nearly got himself killed, several times—and I fired you for your incompetency?" "Who am I kidding, of course you remember. Well, if you’d like to be back in my good graces?” I wait for the reply, the stammering, “Of course, My Queen. Anything.” “That’s great to hear, Wyleman. Now, I would like you to look over Bridgeport for me. For my son and his Marisa Roberts, hear? I just want to be sure he hasn’t disappeared again, or if he has, I want to know where. Can you do that for me, Wyleman? I hope you can.” And before I hang up, I listen for the desperate, “Anything, Queen Evelyn.” And smile despite myself. Two, a call to my “secretary.” Really, an impotent vampyre who’d been entrusted with keeping my clothes laundered, my shoes shined, and my meetings from overlapping. “Be a dear and put me on the next flight out to Evansdale County.” Well, there we have it. Evelyn in action . . . let's see where this leads, shall we?
