Owch!!! $\:eek\:$ That just sounds painful. I'm sorry.....I must have gotten mixed up and thought you still used it for long trips.....ooopsie. $\:o$ I can walk a TINY bit. I can walk 50-100 ft on crutches. $\:D$ It's not much but it's something. $\;\)$ I get spasms in my legs, buttocks and back if \ when I try doing too much......and they can be felt and even seen by someone else. $\:wacko\:$ Quite painful. Well at least they're willing to meet you outside. $\:rolleyes$ : Yeah you know it's funny (not the story) I saw a story on-lone about some US soldiers who were helping deliver wheelchairs to a bunch of disabled people in the middle east......and I kept wondering just where all they'd be able to go......ya know. $\;\)$ Say with all the rain (and mud) you've had......what have you been doing about keeping your pool somewhat clean and swim-able? Oh I agree with what you said on shadow66's page....there really aren't enough recolors of the clock. $\;\)$ Will you still be able to get Apartment Life? Well type with you soon. $\:wub\:$

Nope I haven't worked on the challenge at all. I'm ok but just that. A lot has gone on this week. Not all of it good. But I did go see the movie Mama Mia tonight and it was terrific. $\:D$ It is a Broadway muscial and was the highlight of my week. Well that and your story about your drive in the desert. $\;\)$ How about you? How ya doing $\;\)$

Well in a way I guess I should have known........cuz a Summer thunderstorm hurts about as much as a winter storm......I'm just under less blankets. $\:P$ Well I had high hopes for your knees. $\:$$ Well at least you'll have longER periods of dry weather. $\;$$ So how much longer are you guys going to be living there......in Oman wasn't it? $\:confused\:$ So have you been needing to use your wheelchair for long distances or have you been able to get away with just crutches when you go shopping and stuff? I would think there might be some different attitudes towards someone who uses a wheelchair or crutches there vs. in the US or Brittan where there are laws (we have American Disability Act ADA and I think yours was Disability Discrimination Act DDA) to make sure stores and attitudes make \ keep it accessible for us to go to public places. Well I'm always popping off and on TSR so if you're ever up for GB tag.....I'm game. $\:D$ So I'm off to do some more nosing around TSR. $\:cool\:$ Well take care and type soon. $\:wub\:$

It sure does look green......certainly not what one would think of when picturing the Middle East. $\:cool\:$ Looks like a very scenic area to go hiking in. So do your knees like it better in damp Middle East than damp England? $\;\)$ Ya know I always thought that it would be the CO aka the one enlisted rather than the CO's wife that would have to play "Tipsy Taxi". $\:P$ Well we'll type soon. $\:wub\:$

Oops forgot to tell you my hubby's great idea. The next time you get a call at 2:15 tell them you will be right there and then turn over and go back to sleep. He won't remember by morning and if he does you can claim that he must have dreamed it $\;\)$ And you'll get a much better nights sleep $\;\)$

$\:\)$ Sounds really nice! I will have to check your blog to see the pictures!! I am looking forward to the weekend. My daughter came back home after working in another part of the country for 2 months. We just had a new Ikea opened here (15 minutes drive) and we are planning to see if there's anything there we absolutely need... $\:P$ It's been wonderfully warm here for the last 3 weeks but now it seems to be getting rainy so a "picknick" to Ikea is a good idea! My daughter got her driwing lisence in June and she is borrowing my car quite frequently... There really should be some kind of education or training for parents who have fresh lisence-holders in the family... $\:\($ $\:D$ I've become an absolute nagger when I sit next to her in my car and I can't help it! Luckily she understands...!!! $\:D$

Hi Sally, it is wonderful to hear you are enjoying your time in Oman. I am also a great fan of nature and love to walk through forests and on mountains. You are so fortunate to have such experiences. U-V likes to take her sims on a mountain holiday and to build rustic cottages. Have you had a chance to take a tour through all the castles and fortresses?? I've seen them on TV and apparently the biggest chandelier and carpet is there in one of them. I envy you to have such an opportunity. Have you thought of going through to Dubai and Abu Dabi while you are there??? Will look forward to the pictures. Take care. Amelda. $\:\)$

Is Oman a very religious country? How is it governed, who has the most power? The Church, the Army, the government? Is it a strict regime?
